Thai Head Chef Cooking Class
Location: The Royal Orchid, Central Manchester
Duration: 2.5 hours
 
 


  • Great for all levels of experience.
  • Create a satay marinade for you’re Chicken Satay along with a Nam Jim Satay (Thai Peanut Sauce).
  • Make a delicious Massaman Curry.
  • Create a traditional Thai dessert.
  • Chef’s hat, IntaFood apron and certificate awarded on completion of all three courses.
On arrival at our traditional Thai restaurant you’ll be welcomed by our friendly Hosts with a cup of Yasmine Green Tea. To start the class, you’ll make some traditional Chicken Satay.  Firstly you’ll create the satay marinade for you’re chicken along with a Nam Jim Satay (Thai Peanut Sauce).  With guidance and direction from our Chef, you’ll create a Massaman Curry from scratch by creating a paste using traditional methods and balancing flavours.  To finish, you’ll create a traditional Thai dessert.  You’ll sit down to eat and complete your experience with the group.  Food that has been made can also be taken home to impress family or friends.   

You’ll then be accompanied by an IntaFood host to the Thai Food Store where you’ll be able to purchase the ingredients you need to recreate these dishes at home and get advice about different products.

For completing the Commis, Sous and Head Chef classes you’ll be awarded a Chef’s hat, IntaFood apron and certificate awarded

Duration: 2 Hours

Class size: Maximum of 10 people

Dietary requirements: This class can cater for non meat eaters (there are specific meat substitutes) and most dietary requirements. Please feel free to contact us to discuss this further.

Participant guidelines: Minimum age is 16 (or 12 if accompanied by another class attendee aged 18 or over).  All equipment will be provided.

Dress code: Casual. An apron will be provided for the duration of the experience.

Booking confirmation: This will be emailed out. You will then need to fill in the Attendee Information (i.e. name, email address, mobile and any dietary requirements) at least two weeks before the class. The agenda for your class will be emailed to the Attendee email address one week before the class.

Photos:  Photographs will be taken throughout the class by your host and will be sent to you afterwards.
