With three class choices available, you will have the chance to fully develop your knowledge of Thai cuisine;
Introduction to Thai cooking - Join us on this fun, hands-on introduction to Thai cooking and leave knowing how to make perfect Thai food. Learn the five fundamental flavours in Thai cuisine (spicy, sour, sweet, salty, bitter) and know how to balance these perfectly using different pastes, spices, sauces and herbs. Dishes you will make include;
- Thai Green Curry- Thai green curry is one of the most popular Thai dishes. Literally meaning sweet green curry, the name derives from the colour of the dish and has a definite sweetness and coconut flavour. You will make the paste yourself and then go on to balance the flavours to make a delicious dish.
- Pad Thai- Pad ("Thai style frying") is one of Thailand’s national dishes and there are different variations from food carts all over the country.
- Tom Yum Soup- Tom yum is characterized by its distinct hot and sour flavors, with fragrant herbs generously used. The basic broth is made of stock and fresh ingredients such as lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, lime juice, fish sauce and crushed chili peppers.
- Spring Rolls- One of the most popular and well known starters from across Asia. Traditional spring rolls have fresh vegetables, green shoots, and light wrappers so that they have a delicate flavor and a light texture which is meant to evoke spring.
- Thai Fish Cakes- Combining all the essentials of Thai cooking into these delicious fish cakes, which have become popular across many cuisines.
Thai Masterclass- Think you're ready for the next level of Thai cooking? Learn to make two more advanced dishes, famous across Thailand, and take your knowledge of Thai food to the next level. Dishes you will make include;
- Thai Chilli and Sweet Basil with Mince- One of the most delicious dishes found across Thailand. This dish combines all the exciting flavours of Thai cuisine. Minced meat is extremely popular across Thailand and so this dish emphasises everything authentic Thailand has to offer.
- Thai Dry Curry- An authentic dish that is again highly popular across Thailand. This is a main course that will impress anyone who tries it.
- Authentic ingredients are so important; learn the art of mixing your own pastes
- Learn the cooking techniques for making a number of authentic dishes
- Learn the secrets on how to make restaurant quality Thai food
- Sit down at the end to eat the food you've made or take it home with you and impress your friends
- Fun walk around a local Thai Store to understand where to buy fresh authentic ingredients
