- Discover the art of making Sushi from our expert Chef.
- We’ll show you around Samsi's Japanese food store on site.
- Learn how to make traditional Sushi rice.
- You’ll be shown how to make a variety of different types of Sushi before you make them for yourself.
On arrival at our traditional Japanese restaurant you’ll be welcomed by one of our friendly Hosts with a cup of Japanese Green Tea. You’ll then be introduced to Japanese cuisine and get the opportunity to touch, taste and smell some fresh ingredients you’ll be using in your class, like the different types of fish, vegetables, Japanese mayo, Nori and rice seasoning. Our top sushi Chef will then begin with a sushi rice demonstration using rice seasoning. Then it’s your turn to roll your sleeves up and get started on making a variety of Sushi. With guidance throughout the class from a master of this traditional art form, you’ll create three different types of Maki rolls including the California roll and Nigiri. Once you’ve made your Sushi you’ll be introduced to the skill of cutting and presenting your fish like a pro. Then sit down to enjoy your creations or if you prefer, you can take your Sushi home for friends and family to try. After the class you will have the opportunity to take a mini tour of the Japanese food store on site where your host will show you some of the ingredients and equipment you’ll be using in your class.
