Indian Head Chef Cooking Class
Location: Pearl Restaurant, Manchester

  • Designed to suit all levels of experience.
  • Cook an authentic Fish curry from coastal India.
  • You'll also cook a delicious Lamb curry.
  • Then learn how to make traditional Indian Chapati bread.
  • Chef’s hat, IntaFood apron and certificate awarded on completion of all three courses.
On arrival at Pearl restaurant, you’ll be welcomed by one of our friendly Hosts. To start, you’ll create a traditional Goan Style Fish Curry from coastal India.  You’ll learn what types of fish are good for Indian cooking and the perfect way to cook the fish.  You will be introduced to the secret Indian art of using Chaunk (tempering) for extra flavour.  You'll then create a delicious Lamb Karahi Curry from scratch. Our Chef will explain how cooking Fish and Lamb is very different to Chicken. You’ll then make an authentic Indian Chapati Bread and get some useful hints and tips on creating fresh Naan. To finish, you’ll sit down to eat and complete your experience with the group.  Food that has been made can also be taken home to impress family or friends.

For completing the Commis, Sous and Head Chef classes you’ll be awarded a Chef’s hat, IntaFood apron and certificate awarded.

Class size: Maximum of 14 people

Participant guidelines: Minimum age is 16 (or 12 if accompanied by another class attendee aged 18 or over).

Dress code: Casual. An apron will be provided for the duration of the experience.

Booking confirmation: This will be emailed out. You will then need to fill in the Attendee Information (i.e. name, email address, mobile and any dietary requirements) at least two weeks before the class. The agenda for your class will be emailed to the Attendee email address one week before the class.
